about

This tune's title manifests itself from the joys and trials of touring and is the antithesis of the previous tune, with the group wasting no time before launching into a burning tour-de-force. Off the top, Brown and Maclean swap fiery statements before launching into a melody that has tinges of Freddie Hubbard's "Bolivia" with some imaginative rhythmic twists. Hubbard's ferocious spirit continues to be heard in the acrobatic and angular lines that Brownman deftly weaves through his solo followed by an athletically muscular piano performance by Maclean. Driving this fast-paced venture is bassist Ben Duff and drummer Jacob Wutzke who together form an unstoppable freight train, spurring the ensemble forward with an urgency that captures the inspiration behind this composition – the hectic and perilous pace of touring, and the excitement and adventure of the journey.
